For Mrs Patience Achenyo Ejiga, education is more than teaching children how to read and write. It is about building confident, emotionally healthy young people while empowering parents and caregivers to intentionally shape the next generation.

As an Educational consultant, childcare practitioner, and parenting advocate, Mrs Ejiga has dedicated her career to improving learning experiences for children both in Nigeria and abroad. She is the founder and manager of Lebeni Academy, a Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School, as well as MyTutor.NG, an online tutoring platform connecting learners with tutors across countries including the UK, US, Canada, and Australia.

Her mission is rooted in making quality education accessible while ensuring children receive support that meets their developmental needs.

“My passion for children and education inspired me to start this venture,”

Mrs Ejiga said.

“Many children struggled academically, not because they lacked intelligence, but because they were not taught in ways that matched their developmental needs.”

Through her school, tutoring services, and parenting initiatives, she is helping families find trusted educational support while also promoting intentional parenting and early childhood development.

Like many entrepreneurs, the journey was not without challenges. Funding limitations, managing staff, and balancing multiple responsibilities tested her resilience in the early stages of the business. To overcome these hurdles, Mrs Ejiga reduced operational costs, multitasked, and focused on hiring competent staff committed to delivering value.

“One major lesson I have learned is the importance of consistency and patience,”

she said.

“Building a successful business takes time, dedication, and resilience.”

What sets her institutions apart is their holistic approach to learning. At Lebeni Academy, academics are combined with emotional development, creativity, communication skills, confidence building, character formation, and pastoral care.

Through MyTutor.NG, learners can also access flexible online education regardless of their location.

Over time, her work has expanded beyond classroom teaching into homeschooling support, childcare training, parenting education, and digital learning resources. Technology has also played a key role in helping her reach more families through online classes, educational materials, and parenting content.

Mrs Ejiga believes true success is measured by impact rather than profit.

“When you genuinely solve problems and add value to people’s lives, growth and opportunities will follow,”

she explained.

As she continues to expand her educational platforms and parenting programs, Mrs Ejiga hopes to leave behind a legacy of raising children who are confident, knowledgeable, emotionally healthy, and prepared for the future. Her vision reflects a growing movement toward intentional education and parenting, offering hope for stronger families and a better society.
